Older theads aren't appearing in my search results ...

I think I have tampered with the forums (somehow) so that when people conduct a search the older threads are not being found.

How can I re-index so all the threads in the database can be found via search?

Have you tried

Maintenance> Update Counters> Rebuild Search Index

And empty the indexes before starting

Hello - as an admin for a site that is using v3.5.4, I have found that when I try to reindex the forum it will stop and just hang after about 20% of the indexing is complete ... I've cleared the index and tried it again, even lowered the number from 250 to 50, and it still has issues and will hang.

ideas?
