PG Offline to vBulletin 3.5.4 Step by Step instructions

    Hi all.

Thank you for this nice forum and your efforts. It is highly appreciated.

I use PG Offline version 2.5.044 and I am on my way to download all the messages from my Yahoo group. http://pgoffline.com/forum/YaBBImages/smiley.gif

    Now my question:

Could someone please post here the step by step procedure of converting the PGO database into vBulletin 3.5.4? TIA

If you start a support ticket and ask for me I can convert that access database to MySQL, then you can restore that and follow the normal import steps :

Ok, here is the current situation:

      I have done the following:

~ Downloaded the group messages from Yahoo using the Plus version of PGO
~ Converted the mdb file into a mySQL txt file (thanks to Jerry)
~ Created a mySQL database and user on the webserver.

Now, I need to upload the mySQL txt file into the newly created mySQL database on the webserver. How do I do that?

First upload the file in ASCII mode.

Then note that the only reliable method of restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

Thanks. I have requested from the host to provide telnet access to the server. Waiting to hear back.

~ Restored mysql database file to webserver

Tried to import it into the vbulletin forum with impex, but no success. IMPEX could not retrieve the tables. Any suggestions?

Most likely your table prefix in your impexconfig, check the table names.
