[Discussion] vBulletin 3.5 Spanish Language Pack

An update to the previous language pack, this one works with vBulletin 3.5 gold.

Special attention has been put on this translation, all phrases were translated "in context", meaning they were looked up in the forum to see how and where they were being used. Caution has been put in grammar and spelling, but please by all means pm me if you find an error.

Installation instructions

• Go to your admin control panel and find the "Download/Upload Languages" link
• Click on the "Browse (Examinar)" button, and lookup the file in your computer. Click on "import"
  
• In the "Language Manager" click on "Set Default" to make the Spanish Language Pack the default for the forum

Esta es una actualización al language pack anterior, y funciona a partir de la versión vBulletin 3.5 gold.

Se ha puesto un cuidado considerable en esta traducción para que "tenga sentido", todas las frases se tradujeron en contexto, lo cuál quiere decir que primero las buscamos en el foro para ver como y donde se estaban usando y después fueron traducidas. Hemos intentando cuidar mucho la ortografía y si encuentran algún error siéntanse en libertad de enviarme un pm.

¿Cómo instalarlo?

• En el panel de control de administrador dirígete a "Download/Upload Languages"
• Da clic en el botón de Examinar y buscar el archivo en tu computadora (sácalo del zip primero, por supuesto), y da clic en "import"
  
• En la parte de "Language Manager" da clic en "Set Default" para hacer que este lenguaje sea el predeterminado. Una vez hecho esto el foro debe cambiar al idioma español.

Hi, I have just finished a support ticket with Steve. I have vBulletin 3.5.1. After importing your language pack, selecting it, then going back to English, some phrases, for example, the Go Advanced phrase, (found in quick reply), stays in spanish.

Do you know what the reason may be?

I'm not sure if this is the language pack I downloaded about a month ago. I found out today that in the Spanish language pack I downloaded:

1. "Happy Birthday" emails contain the following signature which is not very nice! That's not my site. I respected the name of the translator's forum to be added to vbulletin footer to give them credit for translation, but now this too?

Ok, the language file in this thread is not the language file that includes the www.2spoemas.com/foros/ link in the "happy birthday" emails. It was the 3.5 RC1 version that is around.

This language pack is awesome. It includes the dates in posts as "16-dic-2005" now which is cool too! Thank you very much. Very happy with this language pack and I'd be happy to include in the vbulletin footer a link to the site of translator if he/she provides it to me. I see translator didn't add any reference there or anywhere.

Realmente muy buen trabajo.

Tengo la versión 3.5.3 y luego de instalar esto veo que aparecen leyendas del tipo $bbuserinfo[username] en la parte de registración. Supongo que es porque lo estoy instalando en una versiòn superior, pero no estoy seguro. A alguno le paso algo similar?

Otra cosa, en /search.php?do=getnew el mensaje está en inglés.

Soy nuevo en VB pero cuando me vaya metiendo, voy a colaborar un poco más con la traducción.

No hay alguna traducción "oficial" por parte de Jelsoft ?

Encontre otro sin traducir:

Search took 0.72 seconds; generated 7 minute(s) ago.

Busca esa frase en el panel de control de vbulletin y traducela con la siguiente traduccion si lo deseas:

Busqueda se tomo (valor de la traduccion en ingles aqui) segundos; generada (valor de la traduccion en ingles aqui) minutos atras.

No, no hay traduccion official de parte de Jelsoft aunque deberian tenerla!

Es obvious que es la traduccion o un error en el language file. En mi caso cuando cambias al ingles te aparece el nombre de usuario normalmente pero no en Espanol.

I have 3.5.3 and after installing this language pack I see stuff like $bbuserinfo[username] in the registration page. It's probably because I am installing it for a vbulletin version more advanced than what it was designed for but I'm not sure. Anyone else have the same problem?

I am new to VB but when I get more into it I will colaborate more with the translation.

Is there not an "official" translatin made by Jelsoft?

Puedes buscar en las frases a traves de tu control panel y traduce esas que no tienen traduccion.

In your Control Panel you can add the phrases that have not been added already.

I have already seen that $bbuserinfo[username] is shown sometimes. We shall have to translate it.
