    Cnome 1.0 - Gnome-based buttons and graphics

    Cnome 1.0 - a vBulletin 3 graphics set
    --------------------------------------

Cnome is a vBulletin 3.0 graphics set, based on icons and graphics used in the Gnome Unix and Linux desktop suite and development platform. It's attached as a zip file below; a preview appears above it.

The graphics set is intended to be used on a Web site with a fairly light color scheme, such as the default vBulletin 3.0 scheme or variants. However, many PSD files have been included (deleted so this can be uploaded to vBulletin.com; I'll upload them tomorrow), and the set should be easily adaptable to bulletin boards with darker color schemes.

Cnome is _almost_ complete. It does not include gradients, smilies, poll status bars, reputation indicators, or rating stars. These may be included with future releases.

Because many images used to create this graphics set were subject to the GNU General Public License, Cnome is also subject to the GNU GPL. This graphics set is created in the spirit of contributing to the Internet community.

    Enjoy!

    By the way ...

Any comments, suggestions, recommendations, and constructive criticism is encouraged. I'd like to fine-tune the graphics, so they're as consistent and usable as possible.

Can a mod add [RELEASE] to the Subject: line?

I'm going to give this a bumpie. There's almost no comments about this compared to other button sets.

          I like it.

If I had to squeeze out a comment , I'd say the thread_* red/orange images are too bright, and I find them a but tacky, they don't blend well with the rest. But that's just me and my taste. I dumped vB3 images for the same reason, and switched back to vB2 images.

Any thought about adding Ximian style graphics? I'd love to see one.

That's why I don't use hot thread indicators on my board. It's a bit confusing to board users to have graphics illustrating a hundred different thread indicator states. If a user is really interested in how many people read the thread, they'd read what's in the "Views" column. That's just my opinion, though.

Ximian and KDE styles are next. Ximian won't be too different, except that I might up icon sizes from 16 X 16 to 18 x 18 or 20 x 20. Maybe.

It is a nice looking set. I don;t think it'll fit with my current boards, but a nice set all the same.
