Display avatars/pictures beyound the name

A friend of mine is running a vBulletin1.1-board. I suggested him to display a picture, choosen by his members, at the left row of a message. I've seen this in some vVulletin2.0-boards.
He answered, that this isn't possible in version 1.1. Is this true?Or is there any possiblety to do so?

Avatars is not a function on 1.1.x, but standart on 2.0.0

I suggest that your friend best upgrades to 2.0.0 (even if it is beta), or try searching the hack forum, since there was an avatar hack released for 1.1.x
