    You need an account to view it but its basically describing the problem is with cPanel and everyone appears to be 12 hours out.

    Your host can run the following to fix it.
    hwclock --hctosys
    or
    rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net

            Fixing the server time will not fix the times on posts that were already made.

              no...

              on my forum it counts in minutes how long ago since a thread was updated ::

              and on one particular thread it has been stuck on one minute for 3 hours...

              likewise with the timing since people were last active... loads of users have frozen on 1 minute

                I have a problem in that people are just showing constantly online even though my forum has been closed for at least an hour!

                  This is the same issue. People access your foruims when the time was off.. You can try emptying the session table with this query but this will stop ALL user sessions:

                  TRUNCATE session;

                      I don't know what 'threads frozen on 1 minute' means. Please explain.

                        Im finding that when a user searches or clicks on new posts they get a message now telling them they have to try again in 46782 seconds so presuming this is something to do with the server issue as well!

                          Yep, same issue. Run this query to empty the search table:

                          TRUNCATE search;

                          Hopefully this will fix that.

                            I'm not experiencing all of the problems detailed by others, except the post times being wrong for about 4 hours worth of posts, before they get back on track.
                            Can the post times be changed via the database?

                            There is a lot of users who are online, that probably aren't too. This may fix itself in the next half hour or so??
                            Or do I need to run the TRUNCATE session command?

                              Note: There is a problem with a recent cPanel upgrade. See this thread:

                              As for solving this, you first need to make sure the server time is correct. After that the only thing you can do to correct the posts with the wrong time is to manually edit the database. You would need to go into phpMyAdmin and modify the dateline column in the affected post and thread tables and enter the unixtimestamp that you want. You can use this online tool to convert dates and times to Unix Timestamps:

                              Just remember to enter in the GMT values for the date and not the date and time in your specific timezone.

                                We are having this problem again. Also the board seems to be eating the posts. When we click "post quick reply" the text we have entered vanishes.
