I'm currently getting the following when I go to install.php:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_init() in /class_core.php on line 1295

Call to undefined function errors typically come from corrupted files - try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except install/install.php and includes/config.php.new) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server.

Also your server may not support mysqli. Try changing this line in config.php:

$config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysqli';

To this:

$config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysql';

Still getting the same issue after overwriting with reuploaded files and changing mysqli to mysql.

You can't get the exact same error if you changed to 'mysql':

That means your PHP is not installed with any MySQL support., You need to contact your host about this.
