Yeah, i went thru the full upgrade all successfully. at the end when i had to enter my customer number to log into my ACP all seemed well until i read "Latest version available: 4.0.7. You are currently running vBulletin version 4.0.6." Im sure it did something because i went from 4 to 7 customized template(s) Im also sure i downloaded 4.0.7 suite from the members area.. i had to double check i didnt run the old 4.0.6 upgrade..

Look at your php files that you downloaded, just for giggles.
        Do they say 4.0.7?

Your vBulletin (4.0.6) does not appear to be running the version that was downloaded (4.0.7).
This generally means your upgrade was not successful. Please ensure that you have uploaded the latest files and click here to try again.
If you are sure you wish to continue with this part of the upgrade, click here.

I'm doing mine later, so if it screws up, guess I'll be back here.

Thanks, and Good Luck with that. So far i can at least be happy my forum is still running properly. But ive run through the upgrade twice now, with no luck.

Looks like you have a problem with your FTP software there...

i think the issue might be i didnt remane forum.php to forums.php..

Forum.php is current. I suppose thats why it shows 4.0.0PL1 because through each upgrade ive forgot about this and have never renamed it. but for whatever reason this time its acting different.. Of course this could?? be why ive been having alot of the problems ive been having throughout the months.. Ill update you all soon on the outcome of running Upgrade.php in a few.. Cross your fingers for me...
