[CMS] Recent Posts CMS Widget Not Display Custom Avatars

As per the title, really.

I'm using the 'Recent Posts' CMS widget in VB 4.0.3 and while it does display the selectable site avatars next to the listed posts, people who have uploaded personal avatars show nothing (no avatar) next to their posts in the Widget (just empty space).

(Alternatively, the Forum Block "Latest Forum Posts" shows all avatars as it should.)

Not sure why, any ideas?

I've discovered this is a reported issue:

Further info - it seems to be a non-working image link? When hovering the cursor over where the avatar should be displaying, you still can access the link to the posting users profile.

Looking at the source code, the image src looks like this for non-appearing custom avatars:

<img src="image.php?u=3425&amp;dateline=1275508454" alt="customavataruser" /> Does not work

While site-selected avatars that do appear, have a code like this:

<img src="images/avatars/liono.png" alt="MrLion" /> Works

In the Latest Forum Posts forum blocks version (which does work) the Custom user avatar img src looks like this:

<img width="30" title="" src="customavatars/avatar2_4.gif" alt=""/> Works [but does not link to posting users profile]

My users custom avatars are also stored in a file structure (rather than database) if that helps?

This seems to have been first reported in early April, anyone any ideas? Is there a code snippet I can insert in the the Recent Posts Widget to call code like the forum block version?
