When viewing "printer friendly" version of threads, the in-line pics show as links, as if the user is not logged in. Is there a setting for this somewhere?

I do not believe there is a setting for this. It's been this way for a long time. (I believe back in 3.0 it would show the image, but it changed at some point between there and 3.8).
