    [Forum] Reply to thread button and Quick Reply

    So I have had a few users complaining about posts not getting entered, I figured out they are typing a quick reply then accidently hitting the 'Reply to Thread' button which then clears the quick reply box.

    Now this wansnt a problem in VB3 but apears to be an issue in 4, any ideas ?

    Oh well.. sound like a useability issue, but never thought users will interact in this way.
    while(true){
    if(
    $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
    if(
    $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
    }

        vb3 has the the quick reply always on the bottom of the showthread page.
        while(true){
        if(
        $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
        if(
        $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
        }

          I've posted about this before. It's a huge usability issue and it's being overlooked.

            Although I have experienced this issue with my users yet, I can see it being a problem in the future and would also like some sort of resolution to this potential issue.

              You can always disable quick reply
              while(true){
              if(
              $someone->needsHelp() && $i->canHelp()) $post->help();
              if(
              $i->findBug()) $post->bug();
              }

                  No thanks...

                  How about a real resolution from vB?

                    This has even happened to me. Some users commented they thought the forum was "eating" their posts, but I'm sure it's that they are clicking the wrong button. BIG design flaw, I wonder if there's a bug report we can support?
