Why is adding an image from my album so difficult?

    Okay,

I have an album here at Vbulletin.com. If I wanted to insert an image from my album into a comment, blog post, forum post, group comment or other how do I do this?

If I wanted to insert an image into this post first I need to navigate to my gallery. So, from this post, whats the fastest way to get to my album?
    1. Open in a new tab or window my profile via the quicklinks
    2. Goto albums via my profile
    3. Click the Album I want to add an image from
    4. Find the image and click to see it
    5. Right-click the image and goto properties
    6. Copy the address or URL of the image
    7. Tab back to this posting window or tab
    8. Click the insert image icon in the WYSIWYG editor
    9. Paste the address or URL of the image
Easy as pie right? Honestly I think there needs to be a much easier method.

I think having a field beneath the picture containing the BBcode URL for it so we can simply copy and past it into wherever we want it.

An ideal situation would be able to click an option where it says "Send to Global Attachment box?" that, when we go to a post editor, we can click a drop-down (similar to when we have multiple attachments in a post already uploaded) where we can click select that image from there.

I do agree though, it would be a bit nice to be able to have an easier method to post the image elsewhere, especially when we can't comment or discuss pictures directly to the album. It'd be a nice way to get around that with starting a thread and having the images directly in the post.

Yea I agree, the process for the images from the albums sucks for the average user. A plus would be to allow members to post comments about a particular picture.

Auto thread creation doesn't solve the basic problem. Adding an image to a post from the gallery is inherantly difficult. There needs to be a solution.

I would like to throw my 2 cents in behind this request as well. It would be very, very nice if it were possible to easily insert images from albums into posts and if possible upload images directly from the editor.

This feature should have been included the moment albums were introduced. The option should be included in the post editor and not bellow. There should be both the option to insert new upload and insert image from album just like in the VB Image Hosting hack.

Major oversight on VB's part in my opinion.
