Picture Forum. How many pictures?

Hello!
I have a phpBB picture forum with external picture handling.
Now switching to vBulletin. I would like to use the internal picture handling.
Files would of course be saved in the filesystem.
Question: Is there a limitation on how many pictures vBulletin can handle?
Currently my forum has around 80.000 pictures. Just wondering if the size of the HDD is the only limiting factor here or not.

Another question regarding attachments.
If saved in the filesystem, what kind of system is used to save them?
Every user gets his or her own folder? Or is there a new folder by day? Or how are the folders created? I am a little bit afraid to have a few million folders later in the years.

Attachments are saved like this: u/s/e/r/i/d/

You have the userid 52965 here, so your attachments would be stored in the folder 5/2/9/6/5/
