before I buy can you answer these please....

    Hi,
I want some functions of a particular vbulletin site www.hotukdeals.com

In particular the ability to configue the 1st post of a thread of a category and have it displayed on a seperate page with its own filter.

If I buy vbulletin will I have the ability to do this instantly?
Or will I have to pay out for more extras to make this possible. If so how many and at what cost?

I want my site to have a different look to the one above. Is this possible? Will it cost me extra?

Can I intergrate it into a joomla forum? If I chose this option I would only want the post style and filter mentioned above. Is this possible?

Once these are answered I can make the decision on wether or not to buy.

    Thank you

If I was the one trying to accomplish this, i would use vbulletin for the forum and use vbadvanced CMPS for the "separate page with the first post'. Its a free mod made by a company not affiliated with vbulletin but its easy to install and setup.

vbulletin runs on a very powerful template system. If you know html and css, you can customize it as much as you like. If your like me, you may prefer to use one of the many free styles over at vbulletin.org or one of the inexpensive styles offered at many third party sites. If you are looking for something completely custom - well, that can vary depending on a number of factors. The short of it is that you get the software and you can build from there.

No -- but depending on what your using joomla for, you may be able to use vbulletin to accomplish the same.

    Thank you
