    3.5.4-3.6.x

I just followed the instructions to upgrade. The online upgrade script seemed to work and did each upgrade. Then i got the end i had to login, on putting in my details and submitting, i go to a blank screen saying: "no database selected"

I get the same when i go to my forum homepage (or any other page). The only page that doesn't is the login page.

I have double (tripe) checked my new config file and all details are as they were...

What can i do other than just revert back to 3.5.4 and forget about ever upgrading?

it's world-web-chat-.com without the dashes. I did have a custom plugin setup that grabbed some textlinks from another database...this displayed only on the frontpage though and i have since tried deleting the call to this other db in the db

ok, i have since given up and re-uploaded the original files and db, and i now get a blank page! in the server logs i'm getting this error:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=' in /var/www/vhosts/mywebsite.com/httpdocs/index.php(488) : eval()'d code on line 65

What could this be? This should be exactly as it was before i upgraded...

If i had to, could i do a fresh 3.6.5 install and then import the old threads/posts/PMs/members/etc...? Is that possible, because my sites buggered right now and i need to solve it fast!

I believe its vbseo causing the problem. A client of mine had the same problem blank pages and all. Uninstall vbseo for the time being. Copy your .htaccess contents then delete .htaccess until after the upgrade. Install vbseo 3.0 after the upgrade. I also see that you still have the vb.3.5.4 files on the server.

Thanks for the info. Actually i deleted the whole installation and restored from a backup (original working 3.5.4 version with vbseo installed) both the files and the db. And i'm getting what you see now...
