Personally I was more into Warcraft series RTS and EA/Westwood C&C Series, but either way this is probably a good thing since SC is arguably one of the best RTS' out there.

Yeah, heard about it this morning.

So i decided to re-live ye olde gaming days and go out and buy starcraft original.

Tried 4 places and not one had it in, so i'm stuck to downloading it. (i will buy it when someone round here stocks it, which presumably they will when they get wind of SC2)

I tried GAME, GameStation, HMV and a local shop called Ninja Games which specialises in the classics.

They were hinting about it last week ish on Blizzard's website with the timeline leading up to a huge ?. Some people even took that, and changed it into huge ! and then with the message on the top "You were fooled, we're not ready. -Blizzard" for joke. But yes, its about time.
            Best Regards,

Awesome graphics! If only they had a 2D version, like Diablo II, I would be able to play it. 3D makes me dizzy.

I liked Starcraft better than Warcraft. In fact, I have never completed a Warcraft RTS campaign. I have never played Diablo either.

I hope they have the resources to support two games. The expansion for World of Warcraft was a year late and it wasn't even finished. Here we are 6 months into the new year and the next expansion for the end of the year isn't even announced yet. Of course they are still working on the first expansion, 5 months after its commercial release.

Starcraft and Broodwars were great fun. Not sure if I'll take the plunge for the sequel though. They will really have to WOW me. As it is, I am debating renewing my World of Warcraft account in two months because the game simply lacks pizazz now after the expansion. Right now, I am having fun with C&C3 and playing City of Heroes/Villains again.

Great news! I was never into StarCraft so much (I prefered Warcraft up to III which I didn't like) but the screenshots look great and there aren't so many Mac games so I will probably buy it.
                          That's the end of that!

The people that created the Diablo series left when Vivendi bought Blizzard. A lot of them are working on Guild Wars right now and the others are working on a top-secret MMO project. Even though Blizzard still owns the rights to the franchise, I don't think it will be pursued further.
