Invite Only Registration Option

Hello. I have been doing a lot of research into invite-only registrations, and I was suprised to see that vBulletin has no such feature.

I have seen alot of people on this forum requesting invite only registration options and I think it would be a good idea to integrate this idea into a future vBulletin release.

There are a number of ways of doing this...

1. Use Impex to import a list of predefined users... if you dont feel like creating passwords for them, set them to the users awaiting email group and send them all an email to reset their password.

2. Turn on moderate new users and just approve the ones that you've invited.

3. I believe there is an option to check the info in a profile field to a specific value (maybe an invite code).

Theres also a mod on vbulletin.org that will add users to a specific usergroup depending on a custom profile field condition. You could set it so that people that match a specific profile field get added to the registered users group?
