Hacked by Team Animus?

Hello,

I am an administrator of the EllinForest forums. I run this community along with another administrator, my friend, who is a customer of vBulletin.
He does everything server related. Unfortunately, he hasn't signed on for a long time and I'm not able to contact him.

Just a few minutes ago, the board went down for ''maintenance'' and said it would be be up within 48 hours. I thought it was my friend disabling access, however, when I refreshed the page, it said it has been hacked by Team Animus.

If you visit the website right now, it still says it has been hacked. How is this possible?!
I cannot access the admin control panel or do anything! If I try to log in at the control panel, it refuses me to enter.
This is bad timing because I cannot contact the other administrator.

What can I do to get the board back to normal and how did it get hacked in the first place?...

get a ticket into Zach with the info he mentioned. I'd say it's just a defacement not a total destruction of your site. It'll probably be fine. Good luck.

I'm assuming they got in through a security flaw in vBulletin? (I was using 3.8.7) so I may just convert away from vBulletin.

yep i have disabled it on all my forums.
i was fighting them off on my main forum, while i was doing that, they attacked my other forums.

anyone know how to get rid of the "Hacked by Team Animus" under all members stats, i cant seem to locate where they have done this.
i updated user titles back to default but it still shows.
