When do they get that error - after clicking on what link/button?

Create a new style with no parent:
    • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
    • Parent Style: No Parent Style
    • Title: Default vBulletin
    • Allow User Selection: Yes
    • Save

Then allow your users to use this style and tell them to browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do they still have the same problem?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

I am having the same problem wih vBulletin 4.1.0 Patch Level 2. But only if I choose advance search within a sub-forum. And then I search for an username. I tried it also with a new style. No difference.

Yes, I created a new style. No changes. I also tried the file version checking, but I found only non relevant files.

Can you try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except install/install.php and includes/config.php.new) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server. Then re-run the upgrade script to ensure that the default XML is imported into your database. If you still get this error on your own style, try creating a new style again - do you still have the problem?
