How stong is VB antispam and Spambot detection

Nothing kills a community faster than spam and spambots. When the admins don't take an active roll to keep the forum clean, it shows admins that don't care.

What tools does VB4 have to actively help address this situaton? The last thing you want to see on a well run site is something like this:

That is a legit user, and a legit users profile.

There are multiple times of human verification tools, though only one is strong right now: Question & Answer.
There is Aksimet and TypePad Scanning service built in, if you want to use them.
There are manual methods are moderating users ontop of all of that, you can make sure that no new users can make unmoderated posts by configuring the registered usergroup to have those permissions and then promote users into a new base, or additional usergroup.

Just incase you are not aware, there are several really good free modifications over at vbulletin.org which can deal with spambots very nicely.

It would be very uncommon that spambots use the profile customizing option. To prevent this you need to deactivate profile customization.

that is indeed a legit user profile besides that has to be done by a human a bot cannot do that
