    Smilies/Drop Down and Macs

Don't think this is really a vBulletin problem.....more a members pc settings, but anyway.......

A member from my site has started to use an apple mac pc. He's reported that smilies "no longer jump"/move and the drop down nav bar menus no longer work.

Any ideas how I/he can fix ?

    Thanks for your time all

Sounds like a browser capability/settings issue.

      it does

Never looked at Apple Macs. I know this is a daft question, but what operating systems do they use ? Can you use browsers like IE and firefox ?

Yes, but Microsoft is no longer actively developing IE for Macintosh. Tell this user that he should try Safari (it's installed on all new Macs) or Firefox instead of IE.

i run OS X and use Safari 1.2.4 and i do not have this problem with the drop down menus. i don't know what you mean by the smilie problem

and FYI IE sucks on every computer. And firefox just doesn't have the Mac feel yet.

            Sorry......meaning gif images don't move.......are static.

Got a feeling this might be a firewall problem now.

I've just downloaded zonealarm pro and I'm having the same issue

I'll get more details from my member that is having the problem and will remedy.
