What made you prefer VB over the others??

    Was it the clean layout?

    Was it the subscriptions settings?

Was it that you got all the feature that you would ever need for only $169?

Or because it's cost less than IPB?

I just liked the amount of features, control, and look of it. I first started using forums with a vB board, and right from then I hated the looks of others

Then I got a vB myself and found the amount of control to be exhilirating..... and the amount of features over the other boards is just staggering... I love it more than any other piece of PHP software available (except maybe phpmyadmin )

      MGM out

The complete control over almost every single little thing. But the big seller for me was the template system, it can't be beaten.

I first tried vB when I won a copy from one of Cary's contests on his old site, and never turned back from there.

There was never another choice !

vB is all I have ever known. No need for anything else.

When I first started using vBulletin, the only other option was UBB (4 1/2 years ago). I grew tired of UBB, so I switched to vB.

Same here... There was no other viable choice. In my opinion, nothing else comes close to what vBulletin offers. They try and they imitate but they can't duplicate.

The promise of avatar support in vB2.
