I guess since they didn't release Gamma today they are going to release it on Friday and they didn't say they were going to push it back, usally when they get this close they at least tell us they are going to push it back.

So to make this thread have some kind of use what is the first thing you are going to do when you get gamma?

I will probably start tearing about the style.

Either on Thanksgiving or Friday most likely I'd say as well. Then again, Thanksgiving is a national holiday (in the US at least, not sure about the UK) so it'll probably be Friday.

all styles and everything implemented, just bug chasing?

Gamma contains the new style and all that good stuff.

RC1 will fix bugs created by the style and of course others.

But vB is based in the UK I believe. I know it's European. So there's the chance of today, which I think is what's gonna happen for us US people.

I didnt think the November release would be hit as planned. Its not that I care, but I usually add on a few weeks to the dev teams release dates That way I don't get upset.

gamma: final front end changes
rc1: final back end changes (bar bug fixes)

I think I have been very patient and understanding and this will be my first time every complaining but..... With IBF releasing versions out of their rear ends one must think isnt vB a company that we pay for? Honestly... why does IBF get things out before vB. If this doesnt get out before November I am thinking of another alternative to vB. I love vBulletin the support is GREAT the Bulletin Board by far is the best but vB3 has taken to long for any reasonable minded and extremly patient person like myself. If by the 30th this isnt released I will be left with no other option but to look at other options. Again this would be the icing on the cake and would make it yet another release vBulletin has failed to meet.


Please understand where I am coming from... 2 license in 2 years for vB3 and it has meant nothing but a beta release....
