Avatars not importing PHPBB to vB

Impex is not importing Avatars correctly during the User import module. I have attempted to make this work and I'm confident that I have the PHPBB path correct and that my avatar directories have the proper permissions.

The Avatars appear correctly listed in the database but do not show in the post bit or elsewhere associated with the user.

A new Avatar can be uploaded in the vB install and works correctly.

Are you storing in the database or the file system by default in vBulletin.

Database, but I've tested this both ways.

Seeing as your site is not up and running and its not possible to rerun the tests would it be possible to have a copy of the old site so I can replicate it here in development and step though it to see what's going on. Contact in the support ticket is probably best.

Have to say I have the same issue
phpbb 2.0.22 to vb 3.6.8

Fairly confident I have the correct paths as it is all green when I process the step - acts as though it works. But doesnt!

This has been tested many times and usually turns out to be one of two things, either a vhost is reporting the wrong path or the wrong path is entered, this can be found by ssh'ing to the server and typing "pwd" in the dir where the source attachments are stored.

Or that the avatars are remotely stored and PHP doesn't have permissions to open files off the server.

This is not a bug. You have to set the storage method to database do them import then manage where you want to store them.
