Distilling it into it's most basic functionality, the vB CMS allows content authors to create pages of content; categorize those pages into lists; and place widgets of functionality onto those pages to make them more interesting. Although the first release will cover these principals, the CMS is being designed to be far more powerful, which will become more apparent in future development blogs.

Private Message History
A new private message history feature has been implemented. When you receive a message from another user that is inreply to something you sent them, you can now view a history of replies.

Hey everybody, just a quick update on today's news. Some of you may have noticed that vbulletin.com has been upgraded to 3.8.0 Alpha 1 
Have a look around and try out the new end user features. If you find any bugs please let us know.
I can now give you a full run down of the changes made in 3.8. Bear in mind that further changes will be made based on bugs and feedback.

Last week I was talking about Social Group Discussions. As RvG rightly pointed out, there was no screenshot of the discussions themselves. Mostly the view within a discussion is a lot like the message wall was previously, with the messages now being a little more self contained (like the comments here). Messages are now viewed from top to bottom like threads, with quick replies being added at the bottom. Social bookmarking is also available, and of course inline moderation.
