    VB4 vs VB5

I currently have a VB4 license and like it a lot. I am thinking about buying another license but am wondering if the ADMIN side of VB5 is the same as VB4? Is placing banner ads as easy on VB5 as it was on VB4?

The AdminCP is mostly similar, however adverts are no longer added through the admincp, they are added using advertising modules in Site Builder, via the front end.

Is it just as easy to install the Ads like it is in VB4?

I think advertising is more wider in ads placement and a lot easier in vb5 because in every pages you can add different ads modules

Yes...and you also have static html modules as well, these can also be used. It's much more "drag and drop" than vB4 was.

Ok, so in VB5 your saying it is easier to ad banner ads, and side bar ads then Vb4? (no editing files, etc). Is it all menu driven and easy like VB4?

I am doing demo now. When I selected AD module, Edit doesn't work? Also, what is considered "groups"

Also with ad module, can you have them auto expire by time/date, etc?

"Groups" also known as Social Groups are kind of like Forums, but Groups are generally created by regular users as opposed to Forums which are only created by Administrators.

Am I able to turn off groups? Or only allow certain people to create them?

Yes you can prevent whole usergroups from using them in Usergroup Manager and/or Channel permissions.
