imagecopyresampled() has some issues with maintaining transparency when resizing. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I suspect it more has to do with the what version of the GD library is installed/compiled into PHP on the server. The best thing to do is resize it to an acceptable size before uploading it to the server, then it doesn't need to resize it.Sphinx Search for vBulletin 4: https://marketplace.digitalpoint.com...tin-4.870/item

When the resizing code was written, GD didn't have the ability to write GIF files due to licensing issues. I would assume the code hasn't been updated since GD 2.0.28 was released which re-added GIF file operations after the patent expired.Last edited by Wayne Luke; Thu 7 Apr '11, 8:22am.Translations provided by Google.

hmmm in 4.1.5 avatars showed up in the recent post widget with their transparent background, after the update to 4.1.7 they retain the transparent background in posts, but in the recent posts widget and other places they lost their transparent background?sigpicComment
