ajax.php taking 100% of server load?

Can someone suggest what I can do. MY ajax.php is taking 100% of my cpu load causing my server loads to skyrocket... It even happenes when I have all ajax features turned Off??

With AJAX disabled there shouldn't be any problems. Do your server logs have any page request details which might indicate what page is causing problems?

My host informed me that some IP's were accessing the ajax.php over and over.

they said I might want to look through my access logs and block any IPs that you see are doing harmful requests???

What is that?

It sounds like this may be some kind of denial of service attack.

I agree with your host that you should try to identify the IPs that are making the requests and block them.
