Ban user single thread

I want to be able to ban a user from a single thread, and I found an add-on for 3.5 but don't know if it works for 3.6.8. (btw, search for 'ban' here turns up 'no posts'?) I'd be obliged if anyone can post a link.

There is no feature to ban a user from a single thread. At the very least, you can only deny access to a single forum.

Maybe you saw a hack from www.vbulletin.org. You might check over there.
