  • Smilies not showing up in editors

    #1
As the title says, most of the members on my forums and myself are having problems with the smilies not showing up in the editor, especially quick edit. Whenever I edit a post using the quick edit, smilies do not show up and instead it gives me that little box thing with a red dot. It's like smilies do not even exist on my board. Haha.

    Here's what I mean...

Right-click properties on missing image - that shows you where the software is looking for your image.

You'll need to adjust that path in the smilie manager.

No need to be rude to someone who is trying to help you. The answer seems pretty straight-forward to me. What didn't you understand?

Right-click on the Smilie image and go to Properties. Tell us the URL to the image.

I am having a similar problem, only my smiley box is non-existant. They all show up in the admin panel section, but nothing on any post/reply page

Nevermind, I have managed to fix this myself. Steve was right, it was definitely a problem with vBSEO so I'd to report my issue to them. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next release.

mruadmin, do you currently have vBSEO installed and running on your forums? If so, all you have to do is edit your smilies via the Smilie Manager in the ACP to your forum's full address, such as "http://www.domain.com/forums/smilies/happy.gif". That should fix it!
