VB3_Post table is full

I am receiving the error:

mysql error: The table 'vb3_post' is full

mysql error number: 1114

When I try to add a new post. After doing some reading I see that I need to alter the table so that the max table size is great than 4 GB. I imagine that this problem has popped up here and there in the past and was wondering if you could tell me what the proper command would be to alter the table to accomodate this.

Also will altering the table delete all the data in that table?

It's a MySQL limit, I suspect its the MAX_ROWS limit.

Unless I am reading it wrong, it appears I have run up against the Max_data_length. Is that the same as max rows?

If no max_rows is specified then it defaults to 4Gb. You need to increase it.

ALTER TABLE tbl_name MAX_ROWS=1000000000 AVG_ROW_LENGTH=nnn

Thanks ... that worked. No data deleted either.
