Can I block or ban an IP?

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question I am a newb to this BB stuff. I have this unregistered guest that sits on my BB all the time it appears to be an ip registerd to Google so I think it is just a search index bot or something. Can I block ip's or should I not be concerned?

I don't know, it just bugs me to see that guest on there all the time. Is that something that just happens and you ignore? BTW thanks for the help!!!!!!!!

If you want people to be able to find your site in search engines, ignore it.

I constantly have 3-4 bots online...If you have google adsense you also need thier bot there so as to display relevent ads.
BTW google bot & google adsense spider are usually the same IP...
What version of VB are tou running 3.5.3 up tell the difference between spiders & guests
