changing signature doesnt update signature in previous posts

when i change my signature, previous posts (before the signature change) do not show the signature change. ive tried this here as well. sig changes update in previous posts on vb3.0.3.

is this something that has changed with 3.5, is this a bug, or is there some setting im missing?

any help would be appreciated.

If you made a post with no sig, then that will not be updated when you change your sig.

thanks for the info. didnt realize posting without a sig at all made a difference in this.

It doesn't seem to be updating existing signatures either.

It definitely should, assuming you have not installed any hacks or plugins.

allow moderator to edit signatures

How do I allow moderators to edit user signatures? I thought this option is available in 3.0.x, but can't find it in 3.5

This has never been an option in vB. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

That option was and is available. It's under 'Forums & Moderators'. Just select the moderator name from the drop-down to the left of the forum. You can allow the moderator to edit signatures, avatars and profile pictures.
