"Forum contains new posts" not updating.

For some reason the "new post" indicator does not always change, even after I have read all the posts in that particular forum. If I hit "back" from the forum in question to the main listing the indicator always works as expected, but if I hit the logo at the top of the page to return to the main listing it still shows unread posts in that forum. When I go back to the forum, there are no unread posts and returning to the main menu using any method now shows that there are no unread posts. I've tried all the different cache setting and logging out and back in and it keeps happening. My users are reporting it as well. I hope this makes sense! Any idea what's wrong?

This will not update until your session ends - either by logging out or having no activity within the cookie timeout period.

Is there a way to find out what the administrator of a website using vbulletin has set his/her cookie time out to?

 That which is obvious, needs no introduction.

You will have to ask them for this info.
