What does * mean after a name

I've noticed today when looking at the who's online, after a users name i saw a * but it wasn't in there name it was after. Like lets say the user's name was:
Moo

in who's online it read
Moo*

What does the * after the name mean?

I would say the * is
the member doesn't want to be seen on the board.
