French and German Language Support in vBulletin 5.0.5+

vBulletin has released official German and French translation files for vBulletin 5 Connect. For sites whose users primarily speak one of these languages, you now have the option of the vBulletin interface being presented in this language. New and existing sites can select either of these alternative languages in the Admin Control Panel. Translation of the install process and support materials will be completed at a later date.

Additionally at this time, we're pleased to announce the availability of ticket and forum support in both these languages. German and French ticket support will be obtained through the regular support email address: [email protected]. Pre-sale questions in these languages will be handled through [email protected]. The main support forum has sections specifically dedicated to providing forum support in both these languages.

vBulletin 5 Connect product overviews are now provided in both languages at www.vbulletin.com/de/ and www.vbulletin.com/fr/ .

To download and install your language follow these steps:
    1. Visit https://members.vbulletin.com.
    2. Select "Download vBulletin 5 Connect"
    3. On the download page, select "More Download Options"
    4. Select your language on the Additional Language dropdown.
    5. Once downloaded, unzip the files and upload them to your server.
    6. Run /core/install/upgrade.php to install the additional language.
    7. Delete the /core/install/ folder.
    8. Log into your Admin CP and set the default language under Settings -> Options -> Style & Language Options.

For vBulletin 4, you can download languages at https://members.vbulletin.com/language_packs.php

      7. Löschen Sie das Verzeichnis /core/install/
      8. Melden Sie sich im Administrator-Kontrollzentrum an, um die Standard-Sprache zu ändern: Settings -> Options -> Style & Language Options. (Einstellungen -> Optionen -> Style & Sprachen)
