    white forums, bad htaccess ?

I juste bought and installed vb.

Installation is ok but when I go to www.mysite.fr/forums, this is what I get

When I want to go to my admincp, i have to go to www.mysite.fr/forums/core/admincp

I checked config.php and includes.config.php, made some changes to try make it working, but still the same.

I would need some help please.

    Thanks

when I configure like the pic, ALL the site is white.

If I add /core to my main forums directory (so i put mysite.fr/forums/core two times), only my forums index is white, ALL other pages have a good style but url do not seem good (2nd pic), and the link to Forums is not good

I don't understand where is the problem with this 5.1.7 version.
I installed 5.1.2 on an other host, all works well, but this 5.1.7 on my new host does not work well

You need to only add /core to the setting AdminCP > Settings > Options > Site Name/URL/etc > Core URL setting. The other two URLs (vBulletin URL and Login URL) should NOT have /core at the end.

      Hello,

You need to pay close attention to implement all the necessary rewriting rules included within vbulletins archive.

Moreover to add an answer to your concern:
When accessing a php file from a browser it means:
      > it's a php problem and you should enable error reporting to get an output and proceed further with debugging.
      > the file doesn't provide an output by default because it was not meant for direct access.
      > bad rewriting rules (in most cases it's an infinite loop)

      Kind regards,
      George.

It has no effect Lynne !

New install -> my urls paths are good :

when in my admin panel, i click to "Go to my forums", it give me this url mysite.fr/forums/core and the real forum url, mysite.fr/forums still gives a white forum

What version of PHP is on the server? Do you have mod_rewrite enabled? Are you using the default .htaccess file or did you add something to it? Also, since your files are in the /forums directory, you will need to change this line in your .htaccess file:

          #RewriteBase /

          to this line:

          RewriteBase /forums/

I just installed vbulletin 5.1.7 on my other host, where I was trying a 5.1.2 version.

The 5.1.2 was working good, but I wanted to check if my problem is due to my host. So I installed 5.1.7 instead of 5.1.2 (woth a new installation), my folders urls are good, but I have EXACTLY the same problem that on my previous site : white forum

Excuse me but, would not the problem come from the vbulletin version 5.1.7 ?!

Before everything, I should access to the install page with :

              mysite.fr/forums/install/install.php
              and not
              mysite.fr/forums/core/install/install.php

              no ?

it seems working with this solution :

It seems that something really strange happened to my VB 4.2.2 forum. When I visited it, the forum was kinda upside down. All styling/images are not showing up, only the banner image. I switched to several

on my other host ! The good one where I want vbulletin is in maintenance
