    Problems after custom installation

Can someone help please. We've had our V4 forum going for four years and haven't had many problems at all. I don't have the necessary knowledge to troubleshoot.

    VBulletin 5.0.5
    PHP version 5.4.22
    SQL version 5.1.70-cll
add ons - forum runner and VigLink
    Problems occuring in default style
    Browser Safari 6.1

I had a custom installation done yesterday and have been having problems. Our main problem are:
    • the "new posts" button doesn't work
    • when I write a post and press "post" this error message comes up: {"nodeId":378006}
    • latest topics box isn't updating
    • the "filter" drop menu isn't working
    • I have to sign in everytime even though I tick the box to remember
    • page navigation at the bottom doesn't work, but the top does

What do you mean by a custom installation? There isn't really enough information to understand the cause of your problems...

Please follow the steps in this post and provide the information requested:
Every support request should be in its own topic. Do not take over the support topics posted by others. The only thing that happens when you do this is make it more difficult to receive support. Often times we get threads like: This type of question is very difficult to answer because it provides no real information.

      Thanks for your fast reply.

Custom installation, I paid VBulletin staff to do the installation for me.

I have Chrome ready to go. Where do I go to put the site into debug mode?

Please turn off the announcement (the green box) on your site.

This should fix a number of issues.

When I completed the upgrade, posting worked ok as I was able to make a test post, but the announcement wasn't on at that point.

Hi Mark. I removed the announcement and got back the new posts button and the error message has gone. Sign in problem is fixed. Filter drop down is back. My surviving problem is the new posts side bar isn't updating and I don't think it has since my first post. Thanks for your help.

I've got this problem too, however I need to enable announcements.

What is the proper fix to this (and get announcements working too)?

I don't know if there is a "fix", but I just discovered that posting any announcements will cause whatever pages it is applied to to cause Site Builder to not respond. I am using and learning 5.0.5. When does 5.1 come out?
