Group site broken after layout change

Long time lurker here who is new to vb5.
Yesterday i got my new vb5 site installed and managed to wrap my head around the basic stuff.
it indeed is quite a change from vb3 :O
I went to install a theme (futuris) and tryed to adopt the group site to a single column layout.
I changed the single column layout to a new site template (group_home_futuris) to not mess with the default template.

Now i have the problem that the group site is completely empty (seems all the modules have vanished on theyre own) and i cant revert to the default group_home template.
Im always getting an error saying that i cant delete system modules when trying to switch back to the default group_home template.

Im running the lastest Version as of yesterday and tried fixing the group site by reverting back to the standart theme aswell.

Anyone has an idea how i can fix this again?
    Is my workflow wrong?

I am sorry that this happened. Here is how you revert a broken page.

      1) Look in the do_not_upload folder of your original vBulletin download.
      2) Find tools.php
      3) Upload tools.php to your server and place it in the /core/admincp directory.
      4) In the upload folder of your original download package, find /core/install and upload that folder to the /core directory on your server.
      5) Access tools.php in your browser. yourdomain/admincp/tools.php

On the Tools page, there will be the option to restore default pages. Select it and check the affected Group pages in the resulting list. Restore them.

There is a fix for system modules disappearing when templates and layouts are changed in Sitebuilder forthcoming.

      The issue is here: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-15798
