vbulletin 5 : Internal Server Error

    Hello,
Suddenly, my vbulletin 5 (vb5 5.1.3 PL1) is not working, I get this error, please help :

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, xxxxx and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Here is the answer from my host :
The issue here was that your application is trying to load libraries ffmpeg.so and suhosin.so, and each time the lines
[06-Nov-2014 15:01:43 Asia/Riyadh] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/suhosin.so' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20100525/suhosin.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

are written in the error_log in the al-jarodiah.com/vb/ folder.

Once the error_log has reached 2 GB, server could not write anymore in it, which caused the internal server error. I have renamed the old error_log to error_log.bak, and the forum is loading properly.

Would you like us to disable the callouts to ffmpeg.so and suhosin.so on your server, if you are not using them, to stop the error from happening again?
Does it have impact on running the forums if disabled ?

We don't actively use Suhosin. It is strictly a server configuration and security module. We have no control over it.

We do not use video streaming in vBulletin so there is no need to call FFMPEG in the software.

Your hosting provider should remove those two modules from the php.ini file if they are not using them. Their failure is unrelated to vBulletin itself.
