VB5 Still Has So Many Issues, It's Shocking

Hi, Why is VB not resolving issues. Some issues still present on my forum - http://www.motorbeam.com/forums/

    1) RSS doesn't pull content where ' is used in the title, so if a post says Germany's BMW To Launch 540d, it will only post Germany and will omit all the text after '

    2) The editor box doesn't load most of the time, you have to keep refreshing

    3) When the post is ready with text, it says no text (see attachment) or invalid server (see attachment)

    4) SQL error keeps happening. VB made a patch? - https://support.tapatalk.com/threads/sql-error.24216/ How do I get it? Basically it keeps mailing you database error.

VBulletin 5 is so messed up that writing this post was a complete pain in the rear-end. Why is VB not listening to customers anymore?

    1) Needs to be entered into JIRA so the developers are aware of the issue.

    2) We're aware of the issue but can't reproduce reliably which is preventing a complete fix. We're working on it.

    3) Related to above. Something on your server is preventing the editor from loading completely so the text isn't recognized. You're basically typing into a text area, not the editor.

    4) Toggle the Can Publish permission for the Registered Usergroup and Save. If it is set to Yes, then Set it to no. If it is no, set it to Yes.

The text box not loading is a major issue which also happen here on the support forum.

How to enter the issue into JIRA?

Another issue is that it randomly puts posts of users into moderation (shows as unapproved), even though they have all rights and all posts are set to no moderation.

Do you have any anti-spam measures enabled?

Nope, not anti-spam measures implement. The worst part is when you go to approve comments, they don't approve, you have to keep refreshing the page and try again.

When you say randomly, is it random posts by specific users, or all posts by random users?

When I say randomly, I meant it can happen at any given time. So a users post will be approved say 6 times but for 3 times it won't. It's any post by any user (all posts anyways don't have a link or swear words so going into moderation this way is a bit surprising).

This isn't an issue on any vB5 site I've worked on, which is a fair number.

What browser is being used (and version number)

Latest version of Chrome. Many using different browsers and ISPs have also complained. It loads after you refresh the page like several times.

Does it do it on the standard vb template?
I only ask because I've found things (and browsers) seem to be really sensitive to template changes.
                    Certainly worth testing out.

Yes it does. In fact it even happens on this forum.

I need solution to these two problems urgently -

                        1) Comments go into unapproved and no matter how much you approve, they just don't approve.

                        2) The editor box doesn't load up.

This refers to an issue I had after upgrading my forum from 4.2.2. There is an issue with vBulletin's code base, not Tapatalk. Create a Support Ticket with vBulletin. Zachary had to log into my forum and apply a special patch to fix it. Then, you can cross this issue of your list.

I agree there are far more issues than I ever expected for an app that was released and encouraged to upgrade to. But, at the same time once these bugs are resolved I for one will enjoy all the enhancements. There are many great features, just a shame it was prematurely released. Like you, I became extremely frustrated; but once I started logging issues in JIRA and once I was able to document my issues, I have gotten the response from the developers here to help matters. It is going to take many months, if not years, to work through all the issues and the loss of functionality.

Done that, did not help one bit.
