5.1.0 Can't Edit "Account Settings" I get "You have entered an invalid birthday."

Like the title says. i go to my profile, and I want to edit my Account Settings. For example I want to see 40 posts per page and not "User Forum Default".
    I click save I get:

"You have entered an invalid birthday."

My birthday is set into this format: 12-16-1986. I see it on the Profile tab. I also can't edit my birthday.

I'm not the only one on the forum with this problem.

In the admin cp, in registration options, make sure birthday is not a required field.

It works, however I'm still not sure what that feature still exists or how it supposed to work.

I mean I have my birthday there... yet I receive errors ... :|

It's a bug I'm afraid....it's meant to work but in some circumstances it causes issues.

You can still have birthdays working fine, it's making them mandatory that's causing issues at present.

Is there a way when this bug is fixed to require(force) users without a birthday to enter it in their profile?

As currently all old users can not edit their profiles and we need to disable birthdays.
But we want and need this feature allong with the making a forum reply only.. but this is another story.
5.1 messed some already working stuff... terrible

I asked the same question. Here's the tracker report: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-12307. Hopefully it will get enough votes to get it fixed.

Simply disable the requirement of a birthday in the registration settings as indicated above. Then, it doesn't matter that a birthday exists or not in the profile. I too have concerns with picking up very young members and breaking COPPA laws. This bug needs fixed before someone using the upgraded code base runs into legal issues.

Grrrr. I have this problem. I cannot edit settings because I have an invalid birthday. I turned of the COPPA setting in Options/User Registration Options, but there is not setting in that option for not requiring a birthday. Where do I find it?

              Yes...

AdminCP > Settings > Options > User Profile Options > Require Date of Birth

              That will fix it.
