    Who's Online/Who's Viewing Thread

1.) When I click Who's Online... It only shows me even though I know others are browsing the site.

2.) In vB4 there was a way to, while in a thread, see who else was also reading the thread. I can't figure out how to do that in vB5.

Yes, I reported the same issue but haven't had a response yet. Who's Online doesn't work in vB5 - it needs to be fixed.

You can only see the real who's online from your admin panel currently.

Yupp, I have the same issue. Hopefully it will be fixed next year.. when 5.0.1 comes out; along with URL BBCode issue.

For those not sure, 5.0,1 will be out well before next year.

There is no setting to turn that on in vB5 as the option doesn't exist (yet?).

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

          1) Who's Online has been fixed.

          2) You can use the Online User's Module set to "This Page Only" to get a rough estimation.

For #2, that's not even remotely close to the functionality in VB4. Being able to see who has actually read a thread can be kind of important, why was this not included in vb5.1 ?

Not every feature from vB4 is included in vB5, that one was one of them. There is a feature request to bring it back but I do not know when / if it will be implemented.

I don't really understand why vB5 wasnt at least feature parity at release.

If you look at the transition from vb3x to vb4x, vb4x was feature parity with additional enhancement/expansions.

If you look at v4x to vb5x, the product was not feature parity and has full gaps compared to the previous release. vb5.1.x is now out and we still arent at parity with what we had with v4.x.

The original question wasn't "Who Read a thread in the past" but "Who's Viewing a Thread". Two different features.

                  It wasn't designed to be.
