Navtab Tabs Default as "Forum"

Clicking on alternative Navtabs still leaves the primary "Forum" tab highlighted. Is there any way around this?

After clicking on "shop", it'll take me to the page, but leave "Forum" highlighted as if still on that page. Ideally, I'd like the "Shop" tab to become highlighted.

Please help! I, for the life of me, can't figure out how to fix this. These tabs have been added through the traditional Navigation Manager.

Those are custom navtabs and you may need to set a "Tab Script(s)" script or even write a plugin to make it highlight for that page.

Yes. If it's linking to a custom page, then you'll need to specify the tab script.

In the php file there should be a line that specifies "THIS_SCRIPT" (depending on how well the add on has been coded).
The value in that line is what you would add as the tab script.

For instance:

define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'picturecomment'); 

In this case you would use
picturecomment
as the tab script.

If there's no such line, you can always add one yourself:

define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'shop'); 

Then add
shop
as the tab script.

Way above my head, Mark. Please pretend you're trying to instruct an infant. Where would I find the specific PHP pages?

If you look in the Navigation Manager for the tab, there is a URL - say it is test.php. Then that is the specific PHP page you need to go look at to view the line that defines THIS_SCRIPT.

The problem is the pages have been added through a plugin that for some reason, writes the PHP pages in a way I can't seem to find them. If I provide a link to the forum, would you be able to take a look?

Edit 2: Apparently it comes with a cost. Now, though it highlights, the quicklinks are disappearing. Any ideas?

Do you have quicklinks defined under the tab in the Navigation Manager? You will not see the Forum sub-menu if the other tab is highlighted. You would need to add all the links you want in the sub-menu to that menu item.

You should not put "THIS_SCRIPT" in where it asked for the Tab Scripts, you need to look at the custompages.php file and look for this line:
define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'abcdefg');

Then you would enter "abcdefg" for the Tab Script.

I don't know that that will work though if you have lots of custom pages. You may need to write a plugin to definte THIS_SCRIPT as "shop" when page equals shop. If you don't know how to do that, you will need to ask over on vbulletin.org.

Edit: I've found out how to add the lower tabs, but do you know where I would modify them afterwards? As soon as I exit the navigation manager, the tabs having been added to each navtab disappear, and I'm not entirely sure where to access them. I've also accidentally added a tab to the Forum Actions link called "Forum Actions" that links to /cccccccccc. Where would I be able to modify/delete these?

Edit 2: I've found out how. By trying to readd another link to each tab, the tab's current content is all revealed.

If you click on the Tab Name in the Navigation Manager, it expands that tab group to show all the sub-menu items.
