[Forum] Import to forum from txt-file/csv

Hi All,

I have been searching the forums for a solution to my current problem but it doesn't look possible.

Currently I have a custom built Classifieds site and I would like to move to vBulletin. I am looking for a way to import SQL Data into the forum even from a txt or CSV file.

Has anyone successfully completed this?

You'll have to build a converter that will convert your data to vbulletin forum/thread/post format.

There is a text importer in Impex which can be downloaded from the Members Area however it only covers users at this time. Some systems in there are actually import from flat files rather than databases so you may be able to get an idea on how it works from them
