[Forum] How to make editing a post display the BB Code rather than the images/links

as the question says

when I edit a post, I see the images and the Link which has the URL embedded but this makes it difficult when I want to copy post a long post with many images / threads on forums that don't support pasting such content as they only paste the text such as older vBulletin forums

I noticed on one vB 4.2 forum I visited that when I click edit, the image disappears and get the BB code instead which is what I want

how can I make my forums also the same?

User CP -> General Settings -> Miscellaneous Options

Click this button to switch to source mode:


If you want to make that your default editor mode, go to Settings (User CP) -> General Settings -> Message Editor Interface and change that to Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls.
