    [Forum] Multiquotes not clearing

    Hello,

I've had this problem that crops up every now and then, so its hard to re-create. basically, when someone multiquotes something the multiquotes get stuck. So each time they reply to something, the same quotes show over and over even after the message is posted. We've cleared cache, logged out and in, and even checked to ensure the autosave table is empty.

Where does vbulletin keep the multiquote data? Is there any way to clear it when a user runs into this issue?

    Thanks.

If memory serves, the multiquote system uses cookies to store which posts that are to be quoted. Have the member clear their cookies.

Correct. More specifically, it uses the "vbulletin_multiquote" cookie.

Thanks. Any idea why this cookie would need manual clearance fairly frequently? Is there something I can do from the server side to prevent it, or at least decrease the likelihood?

Make sure you have a .htaccess entry to force the URL to be either http://www.yourforum.com/ or http://yourforum.com/ and that should correct the issue you're having.

If there's mass-cookie problems, I'd suggest changing the Cookie Prefix in the config.php file as this will force new cookies ont everyone's machines.
