I'd like to change the size of thumbnails that accompany article previews on section pages. I'd like to make them larger. I found an older thread (from 2010) that indicated this could be done via style vars. However, I'm not seeing the particular style var in my adminCP. I'm running vB 4.2.2PL1. Has that style variable been moved? Or is there a different area in the ACP to set thumbnail size?
How to change article thumbnail size on section pages

For those reading along, I found the setting in "Message Attachment Options" in the AdminCP. I guess the thumbnails are globally sized for all areas of vBulletin 4.2.2 - Forum, CMS, etc.
Edit: Never mind. I was wrong. The setting in "Member Attachment Options" doesn't adjust CMS article preview thumbnails. It has to be there somewhere.Last edited by Kirkus; Fri 13 Jun '14, 1:34pm. -
Thank you, Paul, for the reply.
That stylevar appears to control the "Thumbnail" selection size when preparing an image for an actual article in the CMS (choices: Thumbnail, Medium, Large, Full Size). But what I'm looking for is the stylevar that controls the size of the automatically created thumbnails when articles are shown on a section page, or "The Front Page".Comment

They are controlled as I said in Post #4, it wasnt a guess, I actually looked it up
Code:.cms_article_preview_image { max-height:{vb:stylevar attachment_image_thumbnail_max}; max-width:{vb:stylevar attachment_image_thumbnail_max} !important; }
Baby, I was born this way👍 1Comment

Ah. OK. Thanks, Paul.
Unfortunately that has no effect on the appearance of the thumbnail in the article preview. When listed on a section page, thumbnails are unaffected. The new, larger dimensions are indicated in the inspector, but the thumbnail isn't displaying at that larger size. I changed the size to 250px in the Style Variable Editor and created a new article with a photo. The attachments show the image on the section page (at 200px) and on the full article page (250px). Same setting, 2 different displayed sizes.
Could there be another setting somewhere that is over-riding this setting? Maybe the same css rule that is applying the margin and border?
