    [Forum] Changing SEO friendly URL's

I have always had my SEO friendly URLs set to standard. I want to change it to advanced friendly URL's. If I do this, will all previous threads be changed, and if not, can it be done? Does the hosting server have to have any special settings on or off for the advanced setting to work?

Not a good idea to change imo, choose a setting and stick with it as all your indexed url's will get 404 not found's unless you find a way to redirect them, advanced setting should work ok it is mod rewrite (most seo friendly imo) that needs the rewrite rules from "do not upload"

Really? All links searched results found in Google (or other search engines) will be broken? I really wish I had known this early on....of course I just upgraded to 4.2.1 Suite and didn't have these options till about 2 months ago. Just for the sake of convo...however, it possible to have them redirected?
