    [Forum] Safe mode

    Hi,
I don't know if you remember me, but, months ago I asked for support form my forum, I had a trouble with avatars that did not update, and bla bla bla.. the problem was solved with "php safe mode".
Well, after this, the host asked me to change my nameserver, than, I did it, but, now the new host doesn't work with safe mode, so, I turned it off on my forum configuration.
But, what I have to say is that my forum is not updating the avatar, and profile pic, so, I can't change it, and the auto saving messages does not work too.
No error occur, it just doesn't update.

Do you know why? Thank You.

This would occur if your are saving uploads into the file system and you don't have permission to write to the file system.

You need to look at your User Picture Storage Type under Avatars in the AdminCP. Then you need to tell your host to give you write permissions to those directories on your new server.

      I think u didn't get it.
My erro is not with default avatar, i mean, not with the avatar that i have added in server, but when an user upload an avatar it doesn't appear anymore.

Before safe mode, i got an error, with class_core.php, and now, i get any error.

      Don't know what to do.

      Ty for replying.

What errors are you getting? We need to know the real error messages to help.

          There is no error message.

It uploads and than the avatar does not appear.
And the auto save (on replys) does not save too.

If you go to the Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Upload, do you get any error when uploading in diagnostics mode?

              Actually, I understand completely.

The User Picture Storage is exclusively for images uploaded by the users. It is not for images you upload. The locations in those directories have to be writable by the webserver in order to save user uploaded avatars.
